I sold my 67 Sunbeam Tiger a few years ago for 23K....now it sold for $80k....you know who is buying them now? Not the existing owners but new people who think they represent good value for price-looks and features. Now the magazines think the Z32 still holds its own for looks and performance. Why are we as a forum willing to tear the prices down on these cars? The books do because the only selling price THEY see is at the wholesale auctions...not representative of the nice ones out there. How come if a dealer comes on a truely outstanding car he will ask quite a bit more than the books say....if its nice he knows the true value of the car to be more and he will ask it....all it takes is someone who really wants a nice one. We don't need kids with no money to buy these things, we need the doctors, lawyers and others with the money to start wanting these things. Stock is a good starting point...a nicely modded car with outstanding performance is where its at and we should be supporting the prices which represent that. You can't buy a new car with 11sec times for less than $100k for most of them. At 25K what else can you buy that has the history, 450+ whp, and the looks we have in these cars. Believe me, the real Cobras owners don't go around tearing the prices down on their $million dollar cars. Prices only go up on older cars if the present owners of them demand higher prices....if you want one (as a new guy) bad enough you have to pay the price to get it. Old man on a rant...........
